今夏七、八月間，得了幾個新知：
第一個，
見到一隻帝王斑蝶(Monarch butterfly)停在一支死鳥的身上，久久不離去，人接近也不驚！回家趕緊查查，有說如下！沒看到，不會好奇，就不會查，更不會知了！
來自網路：「Some species of butterfly are particularly attracted to human urine for its sodium content. Others prefer dun or carrion (dead stuff) for the ammonium ions ...」，「在成蟲階段，不同種類成蝶會吸食各種不同的汁液，如花蜜、莖幹表面樹液、果實汁液、動物糞便、動物屍體、礦物質滲出液、動物汗液或淚液等。」
第二個，
見後院的兩朵蜀葵花中，各有一隻蜜蜂黏在花蕊上，動也不動，一隻還翻著肚皮，進屋拿了手機，再出來拍時發覺是有在動，但非常緩慢！心想莫非連蜜蜂也會被花粉麻醉了！看過鳥停在野菇上一動不動，也看過蝴蝶停在地上一動不動，這回連蜜蜂竟也看到一動不動！趕緊查查，可不！說它們是有機會醉的！
按網路云：「In Australia when it gets very hot, the nectar in some flowers ferments and turns into alcohol. Bees that get drunk from the nectar are not allowed back in their hive—guard bees keep them out to prevent them from making the nectar into alcohol honey.」，可不是，那一週天氣特炎熱，體感溫經常是38、39°C，這花粉經高熱發酵成了酒精，難怪喝醉了！吃完早點，再出去看時，它們已經飛走了！
第三個，
後院的小梨樹，今年果結多了些，松鼠也吃的浪費了些，啃兩口就丟棄，倒成了馬蜂的饗宴，看到有些蜂吃成呆呆的，或許也是醉了！
第四個
這隻擬鱷龜(Common snapping turtle)，和以往看到的深色(近黑色)不太一樣，金銅色的，很訝異！看著也沒那麼醜了！「The color of their skin varies and is frequently yellow, brown, rusty orange or slightly red. Factors believed to affect skin color include diet, water quality and soil type. (來自網路）」
